Newly-launched wood recycling company UK Wood Recycling (UKWR) will be exhibiting at this year’s RWM Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
The company, launched this summer, will be sharing a stand with its sister company, Manchester-based Hadfield Wood Recyclers, at the show from September 12th to 14th.
UKWR operates from a purpose-built recycling facility based at the Wilton International site at Redcar in Cleveland. It offers a nationwide made-to-measure service helping local authorities and companies to solve their wood disposal problems by recycling wood waste into usable products.
One of the main products produced is recycled wood chip which will help fuel the pioneering Wilton 10 Biomass Power Station, operated by Sembcorp Utilities UK.
UKWR accepts most types of non-hazardous wood for recycling, including MDF, laminates and chipboard – something many other recycling companies aren’t able to do.
Both UKWR and Hadfield Wood Recyclers recycle recovered wood to produce products including horse, poultry and cattle bedding, equestrian surfaces and compost, as well as wood chip for fuel.
